About the role

Emory Specialty Associates (ESA) is seeking to hire Anesthetists - Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) or Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) to work in a PRN/As-needed basis at the LaGrange - Ambulatory Surgery Center. Work Hours/Schedule: PRN/As-needed. Work Location: Emory Specialty Associates (ESA) at LaGrange - Ambulatory Surgery Center, 1805 Vernon RD, Ste C, LaGrange, GA 30240.

Responsibilities

• Administer general and regional anesthesia to surgical and non-surgical procedure patients under the direction of an Anesthesiologist.
• Perform initial acute cardio-pulmonary resuscitation in life-threatening situations or as directed by a physician.
• Instruct others in principles and practices of anesthesia, respiratory care, and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation as directed by the Anesthesiologist.
• Interpret and record patient's physiological and pharmacological status, assist the Anesthesiologist in gathering routine pre-op data.
• Establish multi-parameter monitoring of patient prior to, during, and after anesthesia or in other acute care situations, including ECG, direct arterial pressure, central venous pressure, arterial blood gas determinations, hematocrits, and routine measurement of temperature, respiration, blood pressure, and heart rate.
• Establish other monitoring as may be developed for anesthesia and intensive care use.
• Manage pre- and post-anesthetic care, including ventilator management/support, other respiratory care parameters as assigned/directed by an Anesthesiologist.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) or Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) Master’s Degree program.
• Licensed or eligible to practice in the State of Georgia.
• Certified by National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) or National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA).
• Maintain biannual certification through the submission of Continuing Medical Education credits (CMEs).
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications from American Heart Association (AHA) required.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include: Graduate of an accredited Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) or Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) Master’s Degree program. Licensed or eligible to practice in the State of Georgia. Certified by National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) or National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA). Must maintain biannual certification through the submission of Continuing Medical Education credits (CMEs). BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications from American Heart Association (AHA) required.

Skills

Must have experience with general anesthesia in an Ambulatory Surgical setting. PRN rate: $180 per hour.
