CRNA

Sign-on bonus: $120,000 with a 4-year commitment for full-time experienced CRNAs. $100,000 with a 4-year commitment for full-time new graduate CRNAs. Students in school: $30,000 sign-on bonus upon hire, plus a $1,500/month stipend while in school (capped at $54,000) and $1,200/month loan repayment over 5 years (capped at $72,000) with a 5-year commitment. Relocation assistance up to $10,000 for qualified candidates.

About the role

A CRNA is an advanced practice specialty within the profession of nursing responsible for providing total anesthesia care to patients requiring anesthesia services. CRNA practice includes pre-anesthetic evaluation and preparation, anesthesia induction, maintenance and emergency, post-anesthetic care, pain management, and responding to emergency situations related to airway management and cardiac life support techniques.

Requirements

• Graduate of a nurse anesthesia education program accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) of Nurse Anesthesia Education Programs or its predecessor.
• Current license as a Registered Nurse by the North Carolina Board of Nursing (NCBON) or current compact state license.
• Current recognition as a CRNA by NCBON.
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Certification/recertification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
• Current privileges as a CRNA at CarolinaEast.
• Insurable by an appropriate medical malpractice insurer for the limits required by this organization and state.
• Demonstrates competency in the responsibilities specified in this job description and privileges.
• Deliver outstanding customer service that upholds CarolinaEast's Standards of Excellence.
