About the role

CBEM brings lasting, positive changes to the individuals with developmental disabilities we serve, some of whom experience mental illness. Our process begins with observations from which we design a comprehensive plan. It continues on as we teach our clients and their circle of support how to obtain positive, sustainable outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to individuals in crisis; preventative, acute, or chronic crisis management.
  • Develop a Stabilization Plan and Case Review.
  • Consult with a Psychiatrist, BCBA, and Psychologist.
  • Participate in a hotline rotation to address acute crisis calls.
  • Participate and/or facilitate Interdisciplinary planning meetings.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Marriage & Family Therapy (MFT), Social Work (MSW), Counseling (Clinical, School, or Guidance), Clinical Psychology, Educational Psychology, or Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
  • One year of experience working with persons with challenging behaviors is required.
  • Experience in the mental health or applied behavior analysis field required.
  • Experience supporting individuals with severe mental illness and/or developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Must hold a California Driver’s license in good standing and insurance.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a Master’s Degree in Marriage & Family Therapy (MFT), Social Work (MSW), Counseling (Clinical, School, or Guidance), Clinical Psychology, Educational Psychology, or Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

Skills

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

$72,510.98 + opportunities for quarterly bonuses
