Critical Infrastructure Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Utilize advanced skills to perform preventative and corrective maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment for all data center(s) assigned.
• Maintain mission-critical uptime of 99.999% or higher.
• Monitor and maintain the operations, maintenance, and repair of all mission-critical equipment and systems supporting 24x7 data center operators.
• Maintain and implement change windows per company policies.
• Assist with disaster recovery "dry run" exercises.
• Assist in commissioning efforts.
• Maintain AHJ requirements.
• Build and maintain a strong working relationship with the Technical Assistance Associate team (TAC).
• Provide hands-on training as required.
• Assist with reports on customer utilization, including space and power.
• Prepare Method of Procedures (MOP) & Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all maintenance and operational aspects of the data center.
• Perform facility(s) rounds to ensure proper equipment operation, aesthetics, and cleanliness.
• Monitor/alerting of facility equipment.

Requirements

• 2 Years of data center experience
• 4+ years of experience with root cause analysis and troubleshooting/problem solving
• 4+ years of experience within a critical infrastructure environment
• An understanding of the electrical and mechanical systems involved in critical data center operations, including systems such as feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, ATS units, PDU units, chillers, pumps, air handling units, and CRAH units
• Applicable military experience
• Applicable trade experience

Qualifications

• Electrical or mechanical certifications (Associates degree or higher in a relevant engineering discipline)
• 5+ years of experience working in data centers with an emphasis on building and equipment operation

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods of time
• Walk or Stand for 50% of the time
• Moderate or advanced keyboard usage
• Lift 50 lbs.
• Travel 5% of the time

Pay

Base Pay Range: Hourly salary range offered for this position is estimated to be $43.00- $45.00. However, the actual pay range depends on each candidate’s experience, location, and qualifications.
