Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain all building systems and mission-critical infrastructure, including mechanical, electrical, emergency generators, and fire/life safety systems, in accordance with Salute’s Critical Facilities protocols.
- Conduct routine inspections and performance assessments of building systems to ensure optimal functionality and compliance with operational benchmarks.
- Perform diagnostic testing, data analysis, and preventive maintenance to proactively identify and resolve equipment issues.
- Create and manage change control tickets, incident reports, and maintenance logs to ensure operational transparency and traceability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical anomalies independently, escalating issues as needed per Salute’s escalation procedures.
- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance system reliability, efficiency, and safety, contributing to the continuous improvement of site operations.
- Support the implementation and optimization of Building Management Systems (BMS) and other automation tools for real-time monitoring and control of critical infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Journeyman-level experience in mission-critical facility operations, with demonstrated expertise in infrastructure systems such as UPS, HVAC, generators, and fire/life safety.
- Demonstrated hands-on expertise in either electrical or mechanical systems, with working proficiency in the complementary discipline, and the ability to apply this knowledge in a mission-critical environment governed by Salute’s engineering protocols.
- Strong commitment to customer service and operational excellence, with the ability to communicate effectively across teams and with clients.
- Ability to respond to unplanned events and emergencies with minimal supervision, maintaining composure and adherence to protocol.
- Skilled in conducting facility rounds and inspections, with a keen eye for identifying system anomalies and potential risks.
- Experience developing or refining SOPs and maintenance documentation in a high-availability environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to respond effectively to complex issues and customer needs.
- Physically capable of lifting, up to, 40 pounds, working under raised floors, and climbing ladders up to 16 feet.
