Critical Environments Building Engineer

What This Job Involves

• Maintain, monitor, and perform preventive maintenance and continuous operation of all data center systems to maintain 100% uptime.
• Monitor and adjust refrigeration, chilled water, and air conditioning equipment; boilers, and ventilating and water heaters; pumps, valves, piping, and filters; other mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Record readings and make adjustments to ensure proper operation of equipment.
• Monitor building management systems and respond to alarms and alerts promptly.
• Analyze system operations, diagnose issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Comply with departmental policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
• Manage incidents and events that affect critical systems.
• Work order management, including CMMS, Vendor Management, and Customer Facing Tickets.
• Understand and comply with emergency escalation procedures.
• Perform additional job duties as required.

Required

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• 4+ years related work experience
• Systems, emergency generators, and switchgears experience
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access
• Ability to work different schedules and respond to site emergencies

• Hands-on experience working in a data center/critical facility, including UPS
