Critical Care Transport Nurse

About the role

This position involves providing comprehensive pediatric and newborn transport services as part of a critical care team. The RN will deliver direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing care standards.

Responsibilities

• Promote patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, home care, and medication administration.
• Participate in activities that ensure patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, along with ongoing professional development.
• Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and families, ensuring effective communication across care settings.
• Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences, values, cultural, and spiritual considerations.

Qualifications

• RN license with a Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years RN experience in pediatric transport, ICU, ER, or NICU; 5 years preferred.

Schedule

• Full-time role with 36 hours/week, including 12-hour shifts, on-call duties, and rotations on weekends and holidays.
