Critical Care Physician Associate - Locum Tenens Coverage

About the Role

Seeking a Board-Certified Physician Assistant (PA) to provide critical care coverage during night shifts in an inpatient setting. The role involves rounding on ICU units, managing critically ill adult patients, and collaborating with the hospitalist team. The PA will work alongside other support staff, including additional APPs and backup physicians from surgical and neurology specialties. Prescriptive authority is required, and procedures are preferred but not mandatory. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong critical care skills, excellent teamwork, and the ability to handle a caseload of 10-15 patients per day.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care coverage during night shifts in an inpatient/ICU setting
• Round on ICU units and manage critically ill adult patients
• Collaborate with the hospitalist team and other support staff
• Work alongside additional APPs and backup physicians from surgical and neurology specialties
