Critical Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Location: Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, Torrington, CT
Schedule: Part-time, 24 hours per week, day/night rotating schedule. No call required.

This role is ideal for an experienced provider who values independence, as you’ll have significant responsibility during off-hours while still having access to intensivist collaboration when needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine physical examinations and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients under established guidelines and in collaboration with practice physician(s).
- Develop plans for further evaluation of health needs in consultation with the physician(s) and care team members, including referrals to other health team members or specialists.
- Provide appropriate treatment for problems within the scope of the provider’s practice as designated by protocols.
- Identify problems outside of scope of practice and refer appropriately to a physician.
Requirements
- Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible).
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program.
- 1+ years of experience in a critical care setting as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
