Location: Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, Torrington, CT

Schedule: Part-time, 24 hours per week, day/night rotating schedule. No call required.

As a Critical Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, you’ll practice at the top of your license with opportunities to manage complex patients, perform advanced procedures, and continue building your clinical skillset in a supportive environment. This role is ideal for an experienced provider who values independence, as you’ll have significant responsibility during off-hours while still having access to intensivist collaboration when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine physical examinations and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients under established guidelines and in collaboration with practice physician(s).
  • Develop plans for further evaluation of health needs in consultation with the physician(s) and care team members, including referrals to other health team members or specialists.
  • Provide appropriate treatment for problems within the scope of the provider’s practice as designated by protocols.
  • Identify problems outside of scope of practice and refer appropriately to a physician.

Requirements

  • Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible).
  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program.
  • 1+ years of experience in a critical care setting as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
