Critical Care Intensivist
About the Role
ICC (Intensive Care Consortium) is seeking a critical care intensivist to join the ICU team at Trident Medical Center in Charleston, South Carolina. The ICU is a 28-bed medical/surgical unit with a cardiac and small neuro patient population. The schedule consists of 15 shifts per month, with a mix of days and nights (12-hour shifts).
Staffing includes 1 MD and 1 APP per shift (6 am to 6 pm and 6 pm to 6 am). This is a GME teaching facility with IM/EM residents, offering opportunities for clinical bedside teaching.
Responsibilities
- Provide critical care to patients in a 28-bed medical/surgical ICU.
- Participate in clinical bedside teaching for IM/EM residents.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including APPs, to deliver high-quality care.
- Adhere to evidence-based protocols and contribute to best practices in critical care delivery.
Requirements
- Board certified or board eligible in critical care (all specialties considered).
- Cardiac exposure/experience desired.
- Ability to work full-time, 15 shifts per month (mix of days and nights, 12-hour shifts).
