Responsibilities
- Serves as a cornerstone for ensuring high-quality patient care delivery in an inpatient setting.
- Provides expert clinical guidance and fosters a culture of excellence.
- Collaborates closely with interdisciplinary teams, advocating for best practices and adherence to standards.
- Promotes a nurturing environment for professional growth among nursing staff.
- Frequently includes Code, Rapid Response, MERT, Sepsis, Difficult Airway, and Stroke Alerts.
- Works with other hospital leadership to coordinate resources to manage operational issues.
- Maintains patient safety.
- Achieves efficient throughput.
- Assists with patient bed management.
- Provides clinical and critical thinking support to nurses delivering care in a variety of settings.
- Acts as a liaison to maintain open lines of communication between providers, management, unit staff, ACC, and other CRN groups.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- Specialty certification.
- At least 5 years of nursing experience, including 3–5 years in a critical care setting.
- Demonstrate excellent communication, leadership, and prioritization skills.
- Limited leadership experience and specialty certification preferred.
Qualifications
- Must be eligible for licensure in the state of New York.
- Current BLS certification required.
