Crisis Specialist (BHT) - West Valley (30 & 40 hours, evening shifts)

About the Role

Terros Health’s Crisis Mobile Team provides behavioral health, prevention, education, crisis intervention, and crisis stabilization services. They serve children, adolescents, adults, senior adults, and families as well as schools, neighborhoods, organizations, and businesses by providing phone, walk-in, and in-home crisis counseling to clients to facilitate immediate stabilization of emotions and behavior.

The Crisis Specialist responds on-site to crisis calls that cannot be resolved by the Crisis Call Center telephonically. The specialist utilizes best practices in crisis intervention to support individuals and families in crisis, assess risk, engage with clients, develop plans, and follow up as needed. The role involves working effectively with clients, families, schools, first responders, and others, focusing on the seriously mentally ill, children, adolescents, and family interventions.

New graduates with a degree in the behavioral health field are welcome, and training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assess and stabilize individuals across different ages, stages of development, and cultural backgrounds.
• Engage effectively with clients and families in crisis situations.
• Develop crisis intervention plans and provide follow-up as needed.
• Make appropriate referrals to other agencies or long-term counseling when necessary.
• Work collaboratively and respectfully with clients, families, schools, first responders, and other stakeholders.
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to change.

Requirements

• Professional, friendly, self-starter, organized, and compassionate.
• Arizona License (highly preferred): LCSW, LPC, LMSW, LAC, or LMFT, in good standing.
• Bilingual candidates are highly preferred (language differential available).

Schedule

• Full-Time (30 hours): Thurs-Sat 4p-2a or Wed-Fri 4p-2a.
• Full-Time (40 hours): Mon-Thurs 2p-12a or Wed-Sat 2p-12a or Wed-Sat 8a-6p.

Shift differentials available: $3 per hour extra for evenings and $4 per hour extra for weekends.
