Responsibilities
- Receive calls for crisis services from individuals, law enforcement, medical facilities, & service providers and respond in the community to assess individuals for safety and gather information.
- Determine the least restrictive environment for crisis resolution and stabilization for the client.
- Arrange client placements for voluntary and involuntary hospitalization or detox services, when necessary.
- Communicate with Comprehensive treatment teams about clients who have had crisis contact and participate in safety planning.
- Complete extensive clinical & legal documentation for each call taken during the workday.
Requirements
- Master's degree in social work, counseling, or related field.
- Two years of prior experience providing behavioral health treatment is preferred.
- Must be eligible for designation as Designated Crisis Responder.
- Must be eligible for a credential with the Dept of Health that designates Mental Health Professional status.
- Valid driver's license, vehicle liability insurance, and a safe driving record.
