Crisis Intervention Specialist-LCSW
About the role
The Crisis Intervention Specialist practices in an evaluation/treatment setting to evaluate and treat psychiatric and substance use disorders using a patient-centered and trauma-informed approach. Works both independently and collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Works with patient/support systems to evaluate and diagnose utilizing Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders; assess patient risk to self and/or others, complete and implement risk reduction/mitigation plans to ensure patient and community safety; complete crisis psychosocial assessment and develop care plan for patient including outpatient resources, follow up appointments and inpatient admission if needed. Must be able to work effectively and flexibly in a high paced, demanding, and unpredictable environment.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat psychiatric and substance use disorders using a patient-centered and trauma-informed approach.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to provide patient care.
- Assess patient risk to self and/or others, and implement risk reduction/mitigation plans.
- Complete crisis psychosocial assessments and develop care plans for patients.
- Ensure patient and community safety by implementing appropriate interventions.
- Work effectively and flexibly in a high-paced, demanding, and unpredictable environment.
Requirements
- Master's Degree Social Work from a CSWE Accredited School of Social Work, OR from a school in candidacy status by the council of Social Work Education (CSWE).
- Upon hire: Oregon Clinical Social Worker License (1) Or2 years Relevant Social Work experience. May include CSWA experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year All EMPL's: Care Management: Experience in acute care settings.
Qualifications

Pay
The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
