Crisis Intervention Specialist
About the role
The Crisis Intervention Specialist will be an integral part of a professional team delivering Children's Crisis Response services. You will provide targeted services and interventions for up to 72 hours, working a combination of day and evening shifts, and occasional weekends.
Responsibilities
- Conduct initial assessments of clients' needs
- Develop Individual Crisis Plans to enhance the functioning and mental health of both children and families
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agency requirements
- Ongoing client re-evaluation throughout treatment, with at least weekly calls to clients, documented in a timely manner
- Provide accurate and timely documentation of treatment provided to assigned clients and their families
- Update the client's Clinical Record in a timely and competent fashion
- Complete the required paperwork in the DHS electronic record in the CYBER software system
- Make exhaustive efforts to gather needed information to complete online 3560/PE applications, as well as take responsibility for sending supportive documentation to county and state agencies
Requirements
- Master's Degree plus one (1) year of experience, OR bachelor's degree with three (3) years of experience required, five (5) years preferred
- Prior experience providing treatment services to children or adolescents is required
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse populations
- Valid NJ driver's license with a clean driving record
- LSW or a LAC is a plus

This role requires a Master's Degree plus one (1) year of experience, OR a Bachelor's Degree with three (3) years of experience required, five (5) years preferred. Prior experience providing treatment services to children or adolescents is required. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations are essential. A valid NJ driver's license with a clean driving record is required. An LSW or LAC certification is a plus.
