Our behavioral health clinics specialize in general mental health and trauma counseling, offering a holistic approach that integrates behavioral health services with medical and dental care.

Responsibilities

  • Crisis intervention services coordination and provision, including intervention, prevention, and postvention efforts.
  • De-escalation, stabilization, and referrals to higher levels of care for individuals experiencing a mental health and/or substance use crisis.
  • Travel across clinics based on patient need.

Requirements

  • Successful clearance of Department of Health and Welfare criminal background check.
  • Bachelor's Degree (psychology, social work, counseling, or related field) with existing Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) or equivalent Crisis Intervention certification, or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
  • 2 years working in a triage or crisis unit capacity with experience in crisis intervention and suicide prevention/intervention/postvention.
  • Experience collaborating with disenfranchised patient populations, including psychiatric and substance use populations.
  • Critical thinking and effective decision making for managing high-acuity crisis requests and facilitating safety and crisis resolution.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree (psychology, social work, counseling, or related field) and active Crisis Intervention certification.
  • Behavioral Health professional or Licensed Clinician (LPC, LCPC, LSW, LMSW, LCSW, QP).
  • Experience in crisis call centers, community crisis centers, or mobile crisis units.
  • Peer Support Specialist certification or Certified Recovery Coach.
  • Trained in Applied Suicide Skills Training (ASSIST) or Safe Talk.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • Experience in a medical setting, community health setting, or as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of computer and email systems, EHR, community resources, including those for migrant and farm worker populations, and Patient Assistance/Medication Assistance Programs.
  • Familiarity with the State of Idaho Health & Welfare Mental Health system.
