About the role
This position is a direct, hands-on opportunity in social services and crisis intervention with great flexibility. You will work as part of an 8-member team providing services and oversight to displaced youth, offering on-site crisis intervention, de-escalation, and stabilization for children experiencing or at risk of a behavioral health crisis. Based at the Columbus, OH FCCS offices, you will support high-needs youth 24/7/365 under the supervision of the NYAP Clinical Supervisor or designee.
Schedule
- 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
- Two weekend shifts per month required
- Day Shift: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
Pay
- $23 per day shift during the week
- Shift differential available
Responsibilities
- Provide live crisis support for youth at imminent risk or in need of emotional support
- Reassess safety and provide referrals for behavioral health and other needed services
- Perform other duties as requested
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or comparable Human Services field from an accredited institution
- 2 years of work experience working in direct service with youth and families in crisis (preferred)
- Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smartphones, tablets, printers, fax machines, and photocopiers
- Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and database software
Driving and Vehicle Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable personal transportation
- Good driving record
- Minimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury liability
