Responsibilities
- Assist callers in crisis by providing emotional support, crisis de-escalation and safety planning.
- Utilizes active listening techniques to assist callers in de-escalating crises.
- Provides immediate telephone crisis management to callers identified at risk for suicide or other mental health emergency and assists in stabilization of the caller.
- Congnates with other agencies and law enforcement as needed to assist callers in response to crisis.
- Establish a rapport with callers and assist the caller to handle the presenting concern.
- Maintains current knowledge of community resources to aid callers in providing appropriate linkage to needed services and supports.
- Maintains accurate and timely documentation.
Qualifications
- Must be 18+ years of age.
- GED or high school diploma required. Some college is preferred.
- Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm in high-stress situations.
- Reliable and organized with attention to detail.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
