Crisis Clinician Lead

About the role

The Crisis Clinician Lead role involves managing a team of call takers, providing direct call handling, and supporting non-clinical call takers. This role requires a strong background in social work counseling or a related behavioral health field, with extensive experience in complex psychiatric and substance abuse treatment.

Responsibilities

• Direct Call Handling: Handle calls and engage in screening and assessing callers, adhering to established protocols for telephonic intervention and de-escalation.
• Supportive Role: Support non-clinical call takers by staffing cases, providing guidance and clinical recommendations, and monitoring call volumes.
• Serve as a Resource: Assist Clinical & Referral Specialists, participate in inter- and intradepartmental teams, and support operational processes.
• Assess and Develop Care Plans: Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and modify them as needed to ensure effective member care.
• Coordinate Resources: Coordinate with internal and external resources to meet member needs and collaborate with providers.
• Participate in Projects: Participate in cross-functional teams and initiatives to improve operational processes.

Requirements

• MA/MS in social work counseling or related behavioral health field, or a degree in nursing with 4+ years of clinical experience.
• Current active unrestricted license in MA/MS as allowed by applicable state laws.
• Experience in case management and call center experience.
• Crisis-related experience preferred.

• Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor.
