Primary Duties
- Provide clinical assessments of clients to justify placement in the Crisis Stabilization Center.
- Provide brief psychotherapy and motivational interviewing for new consumers, as needed.
- Cookordinate and promote integration of the program with other agency programs to enhance client outcomes.
- Manage program performance to ensure medically necessary services are provided in the quality and quantity needed to promote client stabilization.
- Respond across Leavenworth, Atchison and Jefferson County as part of a 2-person team, providing mobile crisis interventions to a variety of individuals in crisis.
- Work additional hours when needed to complete the required work.
- Ensure that all clinical services provided are following clinical guidelines of The Guidance Center and regulatory bodies.
- Provide documentation (i.e., clinical notes, reports, other professional products, and grant reports) which complies with TGC’s Quality Improvement standards and the requirements of all funding sources.
- Organize work to meet performance expectations and Center requirements.
Requirements
- Education And Licensure: Master's degree in social work, Clinical Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy or Professional Counseling, and licensure by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board as a LMSW, LMLP, LMFT, LPC, LSCSW, LCP, LCPC OR LCMFT by the first day of employment.
- Experience Required: One year of experience working in a residential or crisis stabilization unit providing services to clients in acute and crisis situations and supervising clinical staff.
- PREFERRED: one year experience with the Kansas system of community-based mental health care and associated evidence-based practices.
