About the role

The Crisis Clinical Supervisor I or Clinical Supervisor II position oversees and supervises mental health therapists in the designated counties. This role involves providing clinical supervision, ensuring adherence to relevant Oregon Administrative Rules (OAR's), and managing the caseload.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical supervision and oversight on a daily and regular basis to assigned clinicians.
  • Ensure that care is of the highest clinical standards and consistent with CCS philosophy and policy.
  • Achieve and exceed clinical outcomes by implementing evidence-based practices (EBP's).
  • Monitor paperwork and provide supervision when necessary.
  • Assist with crisis consultation and provide after-hours emergency services.
  • Review and sign all assessments and treatment plans.
  • Recruit, hire, and train new staff, conduct performance evaluations, and manage disciplinary actions.
  • Resolve conflicts and provide positive leadership.
  • Report cases of abuse or neglect and ensure all cases are reported.
  • Initiate holds, perform civil commitment investigations, and work with hospitals and case workers.
  • Manage utilization management for clients needing higher levels of care.
  • Coordinate service delivery with other agencies and consult with prescribers.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant OAR's and clinical contractual requirements.
  • Ensure timely scheduling and coverage of clinical staff.
  • Communicate with members of the public and serve on various community boards.
  • Administer urinalysis tests and transport customers as needed.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation for crisis services.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience:
    • Clinical Supervisor I: Master’s degree in psychology, sociology, or human services-related field with 2 years of post-grad experience in clinical services.
    • Clinical Supervisor II: LCSW, LPC, or LMFT with 5 years of experience in clinical services, and 3 years as a supervisor in crisis-related fields.
  • Certifications:
    • Certified Mental Health Investigator, Certified Protective Services Investigator, or Certified Mental Health Examiner.
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Knowledge of mental illness and addiction treatment, counseling principles, and decision-making.
    • Ability to prepare and maintain detailed records, communicate with diverse populations, and understand legal regulations.
    • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
    • Self-starter with the ability to supervise and assign work.
    • Confidentiality and effective handling of sensitive information.
    • Valid driver’s license and personal auto insurance.
