Responsibilities
- Manage communication around a range of crisis situations, including telephone responses, in-person care, and mobile crisis response.
- Assist in providing risk assessments and de-escalation interventions for both existing Cummins' consumers and those not yet engaged in Cummins' services.
- Participate in mobile crisis response teams, conducting thorough assessments and providing actionable steps to bring safety to individuals in crisis.
- Maintain positive, ethical, and professional working relationships with community, government agencies, and other professionals.
- Coordinate care with a variety of professionals and the consumer's natural support during and after assessments.
- Write notes in an Electronic Medical Record to update the consumer's treatment team concerning Crisis Intervention Therapist's contacts.
- Operate PC-based programs including Microsoft Word, Teams, and Outlook.
Requirements
- Must be able to verify completion of a state-approved Certified Peer Support Professional (CPSP) training program with passing score on certification exam and with supporting verification documentation.
- Require candidates who have lived experience with mental health and/or addictions.
- Minimum of 6 months employment experience as Peer.
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
- Valid Indiana Driver's license.
