About the role
The Behavioral Health Crisis Center is a 24/7 facility serving adults 18 years and older. It includes a walk-in Brief Intervention Clinic and a secure Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU).
Responsibilities
- Provide crisis intervention, assessments, therapy, and referral services for adults presenting to the Crisis Center.
- Work in a variety of settings and via face-to-face contact or telehealth (video or telephonic).
- Work 12 hours a week, specifically Saturdays from 7pm-7am.
- Work onsite at 260 Jefferson Ave SE Suite 100.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or Counseling Psychology.
- Certification or Licensure in the State of Michigan as a Limited Licensed Master Social Worker, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, or psychologist; OR be eligible for a limited license and obtain it within three (3) months of hire.
- Thorough working knowledge of the practices and principles of psychological, emotional, and sociological assessment and diagnosis.
- Thorough working knowledge of professional ethics and standards of practice.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job related use.
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and rationally.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, email, database management, electronic health record, and data entry skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in stressful situations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and skills and capabilities of bridging language/cultural barriers to Network180 services within diverse communities.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or Counseling Psychology.
- Certification or Licensure in the State of Michigan as a Limited Licensed Master Social Worker, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, or psychologist; OR be eligible for a limited license and obtain it within three (3) months of hire.
- Licensed Master Social Worker preferred.
- Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/substance use disorders valued.
