Criminal Lawyer (Remote)

Remote contract role for a Criminal Lawyer to handle criminal defense cases on behalf of a global legal-services client.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in criminal proceedings, including court appearances and negotiations.
• Conduct legal research and prepare case strategies for criminal defense.
• Draft legal documents such as motions, briefs, and pleadings.
• Advise clients on legal rights, obligations, and potential outcomes.
• Collaborate with legal teams to ensure compliance with procedural requirements.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Minimum 3 years of experience practicing criminal law.
• Strong oral advocacy and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.

Pay

$140 – $400/hour.
