About the role

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Criminal Lawyer to work on a contract basis. The role involves handling criminal defense cases, ensuring robust legal representation, and managing client consultations.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in criminal proceedings, including court appearances and negotiations.
• Conduct legal research and prepare case strategies for criminal defense.
• Draft legal documents such as motions, briefs, and pleadings.
• Advise clients on legal rights, obligations, and potential outcomes.
• Collaborate with legal teams to ensure compliance with procedural requirements.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school required.
• Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience practicing criminal law required.
• Strong oral advocacy and written communication skills required.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software required.

Pay

$140 - $400/hour
