Criminal Justice Adjunct Instructor "Pool"
Job Responsibilities
Adjunct instructors may teach at the Lex D. Walters Campus and/or at one of the college’s six county centers located in Laurens, Newberry, Edgefield, Saluda, Abbeville, and McCormick. Opportunities may include daytime or evening classes, online instruction, and dual credit courses offered at local high schools.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching a diverse student body in accordance with established syllabi at various locations, utilizing instructional technology, and applying a variety of effective teaching methods. Additional duties include planning, managing, and delivering course instruction; following all EPA and OSHA regulations that pertain to the program; participating in college functions as needed; and applying teaching practices that support the continuous improvement of both the program and the college.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in one of the qualifying fields is required.
- CRJ 115 and CRJ 120 must be taught by individuals who possess either a Juris Doctorate or a master's degree in Criminal Justice or a closely related field, such as Criminology or Criminal Justice Administration.
