Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload from intake through resolution
- Appear in court for hearings, motions, trials, and other proceedings
- Conduct client consultations and introductory case calls
- Maintain ongoing communication with clients regarding case status and strategy
- Review discovery and develop effective defense approaches
- Prepare clients for DMV APS hearings and criminal proceedings
- Negotiate with prosecutors and advocate aggressively on behalf of clients
- Handle contested motions, pretrial litigation, and trial preparation
- Collaborate with fellow attorneys to develop winning defense strategies
Requirements
- Active California Bar license in good standing
- Minimum 2+ years of criminal defense experience
- Experience handling felony cases from inception through resolution
- Trial experience, including jury trials and contested motions
- Familiarity with DUI defense and vehicle-related offenses
- Experience with DMV APS Hearings
- Strong communication, advocacy, and client-relations skills
- Self-directed, accountable, and highly motivated
- Professional courtroom presence and polished work product
- Unwavering commitment to defending clients and protecting their rights

Pay
Base salary: $90,000 - $130,000
