About the role
This position serves as the Intelligence and Crime Analysis Manager for the El Paso Police Department's Fusion Center. The role involves overseeing and coordinating all operational activities and investigative functions regarding the gathering, analysis, and dissemination of criminal intelligence.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee intelligence and crime analysis functions.
- Coordinate intelligence with Federal, State, local, tribal, and private sector agencies.
- Ensure compliance with departmental guidelines and state/federal regulations.
- Develop and review intelligence/crime analysis reports for quality, correctness, and relevance.
- Provide technical guidance and direction to staff.
- Interview, select, supervise, develop, evaluate, counsel, and discipline personnel.
- Research and coordinate grant and funding opportunities, technology resources, and professional training opportunities.
- Attend and participate in departmental and professional meetings.
- Maintain up-to-date with industry standards, methodologies, and practices related to law enforcement, criminal intelligence, homeland security, and public safety.
- Perform related duties as required.
- Schedule, assign, instruct, guide, and check work.
- Appraise employee performance.
- Enforce personnel rules and regulations and work behavior standards.
- Counsel, motivate, and maintain harmony among staff.
- Interview applicants.
- Recommend hiring, termination, transfers, discipline, merit pay, or other employee status changes.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Business, Public Administration, Social/Behavioral Science, or a related field.
- Five (5) years’ experience in data collection, statistical analysis, or logistics or operations research or analysis in a Law Enforcement environment.
- Two (2) years of lead or supervisory experience.
- A valid Class "C" Driver License or equivalent from another state.
Qualifications
- Experience in managing intelligence and crime analysis functions.
- Lead or supervisory experience in a Law Enforcement environment.
- A valid driver's license.
Skills
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills are essential. Proficiency in data analysis tools and software is also required.

Pay
$68,091.50 - $85,114.38 Annually
Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend work as needed.
