Crewing Coordinator 1
About the role
Responsible for machine operation and crews in a light industrial setting. Must manage machine teams to ensure proper and safe operation of assigned equipment. Responsible for quality, output, and meeting production goals. Additionally, fulfills the job duties of a Production Technician 1, 2, and 3 as required.
Responsibilities
- Production (40%):
- Monitors performance of machines and personnel.
- Provides feedback to personnel.
- Ensures that goals are being met, crews have tools and resources needed, and issues are communicated to Supervisor.
- Ensures that processes are being followed for production and material handling.
- Applies advanced troubleshooting skills and performs basic maintenance on assigned machines to improve quality and performance.
- Assists crew members when needed.
- Crew Leadership/Training (30%):
- Organizes crew activities and delegates assignments.
- Trains and develops all crew members.
- Quality and Waste (15%):
- Monitors product quality for correctness and reports when errors occur.
- Monitors print and bundle quality, making adjustments as necessary to correct quality issues.
- Monitors product waste and takes steps to reduce or eliminate spoilage and doubles.
- Communication/Record Keeping/Safety (15%):
- Maintains accurate record keeping (e.g., safety audits, packages per hour, labor hours per thousand, and other logs or forms).
- Communicates personnel issues to the Supervisor.
- Informs other Operators/Supervisors of pertinent information and communicates to other shifts as necessary.
- Monitors and promotes a safe and clean workplace.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (Preferred).
- 3-5 years of related experience.
- Basic computer experience.
- Ability to multi-task and lead as a cell leader (multiple machines).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment (varying upon equipment).
- Attention to detail and effective communication skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot machine problems.
- Mathematical skills and advanced skills in production reports.
- Basic computer skills; technical skills may vary based on equipment.
- Ability and knowledge to operate a pallet jack.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of machine and manufacturing operations.
- Ability to speak and communicate effectively utilizing the English language (Preferred).
- Ability to work overtime beyond regular schedule to complete work assignments as required.

- May carry up to 15 lbs., push and pull up to 40 lbs., twist, stand, walk, reach, and grip/grasp throughout the shift.
- Frequently lift up to 15 lbs., squat, and kneel.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment (varying upon equipment).
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, airborne dust, paper particles, and industrial lift trucks.
- Work environments exceeding OSHA's standard on noise levels require associates to wear provided hearing protection.

Schedule
10-hour A Shift - Tuesday to Saturday, 7:15 AM to 6:30 PM. Shift can change depending on business needs.
Pay
The national pay range for this role is $20.00 - $25.96 per hour. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. The actual pay offered may vary based on education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location.
