Crew Worker I

About the role

Under regular supervision, assists in the daily operations of the Solid Waste, Keep Lancaster County Beautiful, and various beautification/litter clean-up departments/projects. The role involves safely and properly gathering and disposing of household waste, debris, and other materials from roadsides within Lancaster County and from specified county-owned buildings and properties. Performs additional duties as instructed to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of Lancaster County.

May also be required to work at any organized litter clean-ups within Lancaster County as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely and properly collect and dispose of household waste, debris, and other materials from roadsides and county-owned properties.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of Lancaster County through various duties as assigned.
• Participate in organized litter clean-up events within Lancaster County when required.
