Crew Worker- Gateway Center Arena

About the role

The position involves independent work in setting up, tearing down, and cleaning the Gateway Arena, responding to emergency requests, and performing various maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Independently performs set up, tear down, and cleaning services for the Gateway Arena events.
• Ensures all requested items on BEO are in the proper place promptly.
• Responds to client requests as necessary.
• Inspects the building daily for any maintenance needs and corrects problems as necessary.
• Operates various equipment including forklifts, power sweepers, electric carts, City trucks and cars, and hand and power tools.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Knowledge of event setups and tear downs, tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Safe work practices.
• Standard cleaning methods and equipment.
• Ability to work shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Continuous physical effort including bending, walking, manipulating, and heavy lifting.
• Flexible working hours based on programming needs.
• Effective working relationships with others.
• Ability to type or use a personal computer with word processing software.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience in diverse community interactions and establishing cooperative working relationships.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Extensive hours and weekends may be required.
