Crew Seat Technician

About the role

Barfield, a subsidiary of Air France Industries KLM Engineering, is seeking a dedicated Seat Technician to join our Operations/Production department. In this role, you will test, repair, modify, and/or overhaul aircraft crew seats, working with both mechanical and electrical components for adjustment.

Responsibilities

• Test, repair, modify, and overhaul aircraft crew seats
• Follow written instructions from technical manuals or documentation
• Use standard test equipment (torque wrenches, multimeters, calipers, etc.)
• Utilize basic hand tools (wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, etc.)

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience working in a mechanical field
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to maneuver 100 lbs
• Familiarity with basic Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
• Experience with Quantum (preferred)

Qualifications

• Airframe and/or Powerplant FAA licenses (preferred)
• Formal Electronic Principles training (preferred)

Skills

• Proficiency with standard test equipment and hand tools
• Ability to follow technical manuals and documentation
