About the Role
Sun Country Airlines is seeking a Crew Scheduler responsible for the safety and legality of flight crew members in accordance with 14 CFR 121 Chapter 1 (Federal Aviation Regulations) and Sun Country Airlines Operations policies and procedures. This position maintains current records of crew duty and rest activity, ensuring schedules comply with applicable CFRs and labor agreements. The Crew Scheduler collaborates with operational personnel to address crew rest issues, scheduling conflicts, and legality concerns.
Responsibilities
- Compiles duty rosters of flight crews and maintains records of crewmembers' flying time for scheduled airline flights.
- Prepares flight register for crewmembers to indicate their preference, availability, and call times.
- Assigns crewmembers to flights based on seniority and posts names of extra crewmembers on a reserve list.
- Selects replacements from the reserve list and notifies them as needed.
- Computes and logs cumulative flight time for crewmembers, removing them from the schedule when FAA-prescribed limits are reached.
- Handles calls from crew members via the main phone line and provides daily scheduling information.
- Manages confidential and time-sensitive material.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by management.
- Completes SYI Shift Log.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Familiarity with PC applications and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize and coordinate with associated departments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous crew scheduling experience.
- Knowledge of crew scheduling systems and collective bargaining agreements.
- Familiarity with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR).
- Ability to identify and resolve crew legality/scheduling conflicts.
- Ability to multi-task and perform under irregular operating conditions.
- Associate degree or higher.

Pay
$20.54 USD per hour (base compensation for this role).
Schedule
Full-Time, Non-Exempt.
Work Environment
This role operates in a professional office environment, routinely using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. The position is based in Minneapolis, MN (onsite).
