Shop Crew Member – Metalcrafters NC Goldsboro, NC Full-Time Opportunity for Growth Build Your Career — One Step at a Time Metalcrafters NC is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and motivated Shop Crew Member to join our fabrication team in Goldsboro, NC. As a Shop Crew Member, you'll work alongside an experienced fabrication team to build a wide variety of miscellaneous metal products, from handrails and guardrails to custom stair systems and other specialty fabrications. Our shop team is responsible for turning drawings and raw materials into quality products that are ready to leave our facility and head to the jobsite. We're looking for someone who is ready to work, willing to learn, and committed to doing the job right. Our projects and production needs change daily, so being adaptable, safety-minded, detail-oriented, and a strong team player is an important part of succeeding in this role. What You'll Be Responsible For Fabricate miscellaneous metal products according to approved shop drawings and project requirementsAssist with the fabrication of stairs, handrails, guardrails, gates, ladders, and other custom metal productsComplete assigned fabrication tasks accurately and efficiently according to the intended design and drawingsRead and understand shop drawings and identify the information needed to complete assigned workAccurately read and use a tape measure and levelSafely operate assigned shop tools, machinery, and material-handling equipmentMeasure, fit, assemble, and prepare fabricated components as requiredWork efficiently with other shop team members to keep production movingFollow direction from Department Leads and the Shop ManagerMaintain assigned PPE, tools, and equipmentKeep work areas clean, organized, and safeKeep shop drawings organized and in good condition throughout fabricationArrive on time, prepared, and ready to begin workDemonstrate the Metalcrafters Core Values and maintain a positive, can-do attitude each day What We're Looking For Required: At least 1 year of welding and/or metal fabrication experienceAbility to read and understand shop drawingsAbility to accurately read a tape measure and levelComfortable working with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipmentStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipAbility to think quickly and problem-solve when challenges arisePositive, can-do attitudeStrong communication skillsAbility to follow directions and work effectively as part of a teamWillingness to learn new fabrication techniques, machinery, and processesAbility to perform the physically demanding work required in a metal fabrication environmentAbility to maintain an efficient work pace while producing accurate, quality workRespectful and professional attitude toward coworkers and customersMust obtain and maintain required safety and equipment certifications, including First Aid/CPR, forklift, scissor lift, telehandler, and Combi-Lift, as applicable to the position Why Join Metalcrafters?
