Crew Lead, Residential Energy Operations

The Crew Lead at Tesla’s Field Energy Operations team will:

• Act as a subject matter expert in energy system installation
• Train and mentor others, possibly responsible for a group or team
• Supervise the job site and proactively guide and train team members to ensure compliance
• Attend weekly team meetings and training sessions on new products, service methodology, and safety
• Service and commission energy systems on roofs including array layout, and mount hardware based on site conditions and customers’ needs and expectations
• Complete work both with a team and alone
• Proactively resolve equipment and system issues, troubleshoot and overcome obstacles onsite
• Perform routine maintenance on energy systems
• Apply advanced knowledge to improve processes and proactively review workmanship onsite
• Understand productivity goals and drive team members to improve efficiency
• Collaborate with warehouse team to ensure all materials and equipment necessary for servicing is available onsite, and communicate job status to customers and leadership
• Provide an exceptional customer experience to all customers
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

Extensive knowledge of PV equipment, installation, service, electrical wiring, and equipment

Experience in roof work, general construction, or carpentry preferred

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and able to work well with others in a collaborative team environment

Able to read building plans and equipment manuals

Computer skills preferred

Able to safely handle power tools and materials such as ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards, batteries, and other similar electrical equipment, lumber, roofing materials, etc.

Excellent customer service and strong written and verbal communication skills

Able to always maintain quality standards
