Responsibilities

• Assist with tax planning and research related to various items that affect the timing of income, deductions, capitalization, cost recovery, and inventory.
• Develop an understanding of client's business and industry to help identify tax planning ideas.
• Aid in implementing multiple projects simultaneously, which include client interviews, data gathering, analysis, computations, and preparation of tax filings including forms 3115, 1128, 970, and 2848.
• Document facts and positions and draft other technical memoranda.
• Communicate effectively and respond timely to internal and external requests to help drive the success of AMP engagements.

Requirements

• Maintain competency through continuing education and obtaining additional professional certifications.
• Travel to assigned client locations is required.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent from an accredited university.
• Working toward the successful completion of the CPA exam.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work effectively on a team.
• Ability to work and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Pay

The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range. Compensation Range: $74,800 - $89,250.
