Responsibilities

  • Manages a portfolio of clients supporting underwriting and/or monitoring requirements of varying degrees complexity
  • Independently works with Relationship Management, Credit and Risk teammates to understand structuring needs and requirements
  • Delivers collateral, loan structure and other analyses to team members to support the loan decision-making process
  • Reviews work of junior teammates to provide feedback/coaching and ensure compliance with laws, rules, regulations and policy procedure
  • Has credit approval for certain credit actions
  • Led collateral monitoring, loan structure conversations and completion of loan documentation with internal/external legal partners

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of solid experience in Commercial Banking (Middle Market or Large Corporate or Leveraged Finance) underwriting, performing financial analysis, structuring, and portfolio management
  • Strong communication and analytical/technical skills, including financial accounting, modeling and loan structuring.
  • Strong experience monitoring and analyzing changes in transactions and portfolios over time, including identifying trends or issues that may impact credit quality.
  • Strong experience reconciling financial statements and supporting documentation, investigating discrepancies or unusual activity and ensuring reporting complies with credit agreements.
  • Strong experiences communicating directly with borrowers to clarify data and resolve issues and requesting additional reporting or backup documentation as needed,

Desired Qualifications

  • Participate with RM or CO's to negotiate Credit Agreements & loan documents, as needed.
  • Be knowledgeable of the closing process & timeline for all types of loans (i.e. real estate, revolvers, etc.)
