Credit Transactions Counsel

About the Role

Atlantic Group is hiring a Credit Transactions Counsel in Stamford, CT for our client, a growing alternative investment manager. This role will support a broad range of private credit and structured finance transactions, partnering closely with investment professionals and outside counsel on deal execution, documentation, and negotiation.

Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate legal documentation for credit, financing, and other investment transactions.
• Advise investment professionals on legal and commercial terms while identifying risks and supporting transaction execution.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and outside counsel throughout transaction structuring, negotiation, documentation, and closing.
• Provide legal support across lending, structured finance, securities, and other complex financial transactions.
• Assist with legal matters related to investment activities, funds, and other business initiatives as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve legal workflows, transaction documentation, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school is required.
• 2–5 years of transactional legal experience within a law firm, financial services, investment management, or related environment is required.
• Experience supporting lending, credit, financing, securities, or other complex financial transactions is required.
• Strong contract drafting, review, negotiation, transaction management, and legal analysis skills are required.
• Knowledge of private credit, structured finance, investment management, or alternative investments is preferred.
• Strong judgment, communication, organization, and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Pay

$250,000–$300,000/year + bonus

Monday to Friday (In-Office)
