Credit Trainee

Responsibilities
- Teach you the basics of credit management through mentoring, coaching, and on-the-job learning.
- Work in various areas of the business, including the warehouse, sales counter, delivery, and customer visits.
- Learn systems and processes related to credit management, sales process, collections, and customer relations.
- Build relationships with customers and sales teams, and engage in ongoing visits and meetings.
- Gain an entry-level working knowledge of extending credit to trade professionals and building customer relationships.
Qualifications
- 0-3 years work experience post bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
- Drive, a great attitude, and willingness to learn our credit business.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including face-to-face conversations, phone interactions, and group presentations.
- Ability to build relationships with high emotional intelligence and people skills.
- Willingness to learn and be part of a team.
Career Path
This is more than a job — it’s the start of a career. After successfully completing the program, the associate will have an entry-level working knowledge of how to extend credit to the trade professional and build customer relationships. With continued success, the associate will move forward into the Area Credit Manager role, where A/R responsibilities will increase and there is an opportunity to manage people.
Location/Relocation
Your initial training location will be based in Appleton, WI for the first 8-12 months. You must be open to relocating to Columbus, OH after your training program. The ability to be open to living in a new location and being adventurous is required! We will provide a relocation allowance at that time. We can look at the region you prefer or if open across the US.

Pay Range
