Credit Trainee

Responsibilities
- Teach you the basics of credit extension and customer relationship building.
- Work in various areas of the business, including the warehouse, sales counter, and deliveries.
- Learn about systems and processes, emotional intelligence, sales process, collections management, credit management, customer relations, and secondary security.
- Gain an entry-level working knowledge of extending credit to trade professionals and building customer relationships.
Qualifications
- 0-3 years work experience post bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
- Drive, great attitude, and willingness to learn our credit business.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including face-to-face conversations, phone conversations, and presentations.
- Ability to build relationships with high emotional intelligence and people skills.
- Willingness to learn and be part of a team.
Career Path
This is more than a job — it’s the start of a career. After successfully completing the program, the associate will have an entry-level working knowledge of how to extend credit to the trade professional and build customer relationships. The Credit Trainee will progress to become a Credit Manager, then potentially an Area Credit Manager.
Location/Relocation
Your initial training location will be based in Pomona, CA for the first 8-12 months. You must be open to relocating after your training program. The ability to be open to living in a new location and being adventurous is required! We will provide a relocation allowance at that time. We can look at the region you prefer or if open across the US.

Pay Range
The starting wage may be higher in certain locations based on local or state wage requirements. The role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible. Ferguson complies with all wage regulations.
