Credit Trader – Investment Grade & High Yield

About the role

The Credit Trader – Investment Grade & High Yield role is a key member of the Global Trading Team at DWS. This team is integral to the investment process, focusing on achieving best execution results for clients across various asset classes and markets globally.

Responsibilities

• Execute portfolio manager generated Investment Grade Credit and High Yield orders (across multiple venues) in compliance with trading procedures and portfolio guidelines
• Build relationships with the broker-dealer community to facilitate improved New Issue Allocations, market intelligence, and serve as a point of contact for the platform
• Participate in internal meetings with Portfolio Managers and Research as part of the investment decision-making process
• Increase efficiency of execution services and help build automated solutions for the desk's processes and order flow
• Act as a team player and take part in value-additive liquidity dialogue & solutions (including relative value, trade ideas, difficult-to-trade situations, alternative investments/comparable securities, New Issue color)
• Act as a culture carrier and foster successful relationships and interactions with Operations, Technology, Compliance, Risk, and Audit

Requirements

• Proven trading experience in execution of both High Yield and Investment Grade Credit securities
• Understanding of industry-recognized analytic and trading systems including Bloomberg, MarketAxess, and Tradeweb
• Experience with BRS Aladdin a plus
• Demonstrated process improvement through automation of order flow or similar skillset (coding skills should include familiarity with: Python, JavaScript, SQL)
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Undergraduate degree with a preference towards a Bachelor’s degree in a finance-related or computer science field

The salary range for this position in New York is $104,000 to $173,000, with actual salaries based on a variety of factors including skill set, experience, and education.
