Credit Risk Review - Strategic Insight Team Manager

For our client, we are seeking a Credit Risk Review - Strategic Insight Team Manager to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will guide the operating model, governance, and strategic direction for a credit risk review function within a highly regulated financial services environment. The position will translate priorities into measurable initiatives, strengthen performance management, and help ensure leadership has the insight needed to make sound risk decisions. In addition, this manager will partner across teams to advance reporting, quality verification, automation, and AI-enabled tools that improve execution and decision support. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $128,000 – $268,000 annually Responsibilities Lead the design and evolution of the operating model and governance framework for the credit risk review function Establish the strategic agenda and translate priorities into initiatives and measurable outcomes Oversee strategic planning, risk assessment, and capacity analysis Own performance-management infrastructure and monitor execution against plans Lead risk intelligence and management-reporting capabilities Provide oversight of quality verification to strengthen methodology and execution Serve as business sponsor for tools and data solutions, advancing automation and AI Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Data/Analytics, Risk Management, or a related field required 15+ years of relevant experience in credit risk, credit review, or related disciplines preferred Demonstrated success leading complex strategy or risk governance functions required Experience designing or rebuilding an operating model or governance framework strongly preferred Direct credit risk review or loan-review leadership experience preferred Benefits Flexible work options for remote employees Comprehensive benefits package including health, wellness, and retirement plans Opportunities for professional development and training Support for work-life balance initiatives Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
