Credit Products Underwriter I - Commercial Banking

Role Overview

The Credit Products Underwriter I - Commercial is responsible for underwriting complex financial transactions, including real estate, working capital, equipment, acquisitions, healthcare, and SBA-backed credits.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and independently underwrite credit requests, prioritizing multiple active deals from various clients and locations.
• Provide industry and product expertise, designing tailored financial solutions for clients.
• Collaborate with Relationship Managers to support revenue generation and client satisfaction.
• Prepare financial analyses, recommend transaction structures, and document policy exceptions.
• Assist in developing new credit business through client calls and joint efforts.
• Support compliance reporting and present credit information to management.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of credit analysis or underwriting experience, or 7+ years of equivalent work experience.
• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of credit principles, lending functions, loan analysis, and documentation.
• Proficiency in PC and spreadsheet software, with excellent work habits and conflict management skills.
