About the role
We are seeking a specialized Credit Manager to join our Administrative-Finance team, focusing on credit recovery. The role involves managing the entire credit portfolio to minimize the risk of defaults, reduce the average collection period (DSO), and optimize recovery actions to ensure the company's financial stability.
Responsibilities
- Manage the credit portfolio, continuously monitoring credit exposure toward clients (wholesale, franchise, large organized distribution) to promptly identify at-risk positions and defaults.
- Define and implement recovery strategies, from managing early delinquencies to supporting critical legal proceedings.
- Conduct B2B negotiations with clients, independently handling repayment plans, renegotiations, and customized agreements with stores and distributors.
- Collaborate internally to align with the sales department on credit policies and order blocks while preserving client relationships.
- Coordinate with external partners, including recovery agencies, law firms, and collection agencies, monitoring the costs and effectiveness of judicial and extrajudicial actions.
- Prepare periodic reports on the portfolio status, recovery rates, average collection times, and risk levels for the Financial Management.
- Analyze client financial statements to assess economic and financial solidity, supporting credit decisions.
- Assign and manage credit limits based on the client's risk profile.
- Master legal procedures for both judicial and extrajudicial credit recovery.
- Contribute to the automation of processes to simplify and expedite workflows.
- Manage record layouts for bulk imports into ERP systems and extract/transform commercial data for mass population of the management system.
Requirements
- Degree in Economics, Finance, or related fields.
- At least 5 years of experience in similar credit recovery roles.
Skills
- Technical knowledge of extrajudicial and judicial credit recovery procedures.
- Familiarity with civil law (injunctions, enforcement orders).
- Proficiency in Excel and management software.
- Good command of the English language.
- Negotiation and persuasion skills, balancing firmness and diplomacy.
- Stress resistance and ability to manage conflict situations.
- Data analysis and targeted problem-solving.
