Summary/Objective

The Credit & Collections Analyst I is an entry-level role responsible for supporting daily credit and collections processes. Core responsibilities include sending customer statements, processing incoming payments, and posting credit card transactions using internal systems. This role follows standardized procedures to maintain clean receivables records and ensure timely updates to customer accounts. The Analyst I works closely with internal teams to respond to routine inquiries and escalates unresolved issues to more senior team members. This position plays a foundational part in supporting timely collections and maintaining customer account integrity.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • To send monthly customer statements and manage distribution lists with regular account follow-ups.
  • To receive and record e-check payments and support electronic transaction processing.
  • To process credit card payments.
  • To build and maintain relationships with customers, plant personnel, and sales teams.
  • To monitor and process sales order hold lists.
  • To utilize trade references and PCI compliance.
  • To conduct unclaimed property research and resolution.
  • To generate and review credit reports for NCAM-related activity.
  • To understand and follow SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
  • To support internal documentation and audit preparedness as needed.
  • To contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.

Working Conditions

  • Primarily working indoors, office environment.
  • May sit for several hours at a time.
  • Prolonged exposure to computer screens.
  • Repetitive use of hands to operate computers, printers, and copiers.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ year of administrative experience, or relevant education.
  • A basic understanding of accounting or financial concepts is preferred.

Essential Functions

  • To apply general bookkeeping knowledge to account transactions and payment applications.
  • To process customer payments securely and in compliance with PCI standards.
  • To maintain accurate and organized records for statements, payments, and correspondence.
  • To demonstrate high emotional intelligence (EQ) when resolving conflict or negotiating payment solutions.
  • To use available data to evaluate risks or determine best course of action for LCI.
  • To engage with internal stakeholders to align account statuses and resolutions.
  • To handle credit-related issues with attention to detail and urgency.
  • To ensure understanding of Lippert products and customer segments including RV/Marine/Specialty.
  • To access and utilize SOPs effectively.

Supervisory Responsibility

This role does not have any supervisory responsibility upon hiring.

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk and hear.
  • This position may be active and requires standing and sitting with occasional walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the workday.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
