Credit Analyst - Electrical Parts Distribution

Responsibilities
- Professionally and efficiently handle day-to-day activities in the Credit Department, maintaining DSO and past-due accounts receivable at targeted levels.
- Respond to inquiries from customers, associates, and outside organizations regarding customer accounts, resolving problems, authorizing new orders, maintaining billing information, and releasing confidential credit information appropriately while preserving customer goodwill.
- Handle all credit department collection activity for assigned accounts using telephone, PC, Get-Paid Software, reports, and personal visits, keeping relevant parties informed of issues and actions taken or required.
- Meet with the Credit Manager monthly (or as requested) to discuss account status.
- Manage sales tax collection and documentation, ensuring compliance with state requirements for assigned accounts.
- Conduct monthly Joint Account Reviews with assigned account managers, advising and training salespeople on collection approaches and options while collaborating to resolve disputes.
- Monitor and adjust credit limits for assigned accounts, authorizing shipments as needed.
- Manage invoices and special-handling documents to ensure prompt payment.
- Utilize the Billtrust website for obtaining invoice and statement documents and processing customer payments.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 to 3 years in commercial credit or accounts receivable collections, preferably in an electrical construction-related field.
- A four-year degree in a business-related field (e.g., accounting, finance) or equivalent experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Limited travel may be required.
- Willingness to work additional hours to meet deadlines.
Pay
Base salary: $25.00/hr - $30.00/hr (pay increases within range based on credit analyst experience). Compensation includes hourly pay, a short-term incentive bonus, and a full benefits package.
Schedule
Standard daytime hours, Monday-Friday (in-office).
