TS Banking Group is seeking a Credit Analyst to analyze financial data of new and existing loans and prepare credit request displays and reviews.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in business with a major in accounting, finance, business administration, or a closely related discipline. Work experience and/or college coursework can substitute for the degree.
  • Minimum of one year of professional work experience as a credit analyst or in a closely related field.

Position location: Remote, Hybrid, or within the company’s geographic footprint.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake credit risk assessment and apply credit limits and terms in compliance with credit policy.
  • Perform due diligence in support of all credit applications.
  • Ensure credit structures adequately mitigate respective credit risks.
  • Review customer information for completeness and accuracy prior to performing credit reviews.
  • Prepare credit reports with detailed analysis and recommendations for management approval.
  • Monitor credit exposure and performance of counterparties to facilitate proactive risk management.
  • Analyze new and existing credit files, including data entry, report generation, financial statement review, ratio calculation, and loan rating assignment.
  • Create and run queries for Credit Administration staff.
  • Periodically attend joint calls with Market Presidents and lenders to interview applicants, gather financial documents, and evaluate loan applications.
  • May participate in training new credit analysis employees.
  • Participate in Loan Board Report compilation, including new loan reports, concentration reports, watch list updates, and more.
  • Prepare forms, reports, correspondence, and memoranda; answer telephones.
  • Comply with all banking and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to present information effectively.
  • Proficiency in basic arithmetic, including rates, ratios, percentages, and interpreting bar graphs.
  • Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software programs; advanced PC skills beneficial.
  • Ability to operate office equipment, including telephones, computers, printers, copiers, and fax machines.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to sit, talk, or hear.
  • Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

  • Position may require working before or after normal business hours, including weekends and overnight travel, to meet deadlines or attend meetings/training programs.
  • Reliable transportation is required for work-related travel and client interactions.
