Credit Analyst

About the Role

Manage all aspects of assigned accounts, ensuring the company receives payments on time from customers who purchase goods and services on credit or installment plans. Establish and maintain effective relationships with new and existing customers through professionalism and strong interpersonal and communication skills. Assist the Manager of Credit with recommendations on credit application approval or denial based on research and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Review credit applications
• Establish lines of credit
• Conduct financial analysis, including third-party report reviews
• Make recommendations to the Manager of Credit
• Prioritize credit reviews for existing accounts
• Contact customers and the sales department
• Process and maintain lien rights on customers in assigned divisions
• Coordinate activities with internal departments, such as Accounts Receivable and Invoicing
• Ensure proper follow-up
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Requirements

• Associate degree in finance or a related field (preferred but not required)
• 2 years of Accounts Receivable, Finance, and/or Credit experience (preferred)

• Technical skills in account reconciliation, credit extensions, and payment plans
• Planning and organization: ability to manage multiple projects

• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
