About the role
We are seeking a Credit Analyst to join our Credit Admin team. The ideal candidate will assist in underwriting, documenting, processing, and maintaining lending products and loan files. They will also support the Commercial lending team in making informed credit decisions.
Responsibilities
- Aid in underwriting commercial loan products according to the bank's policies and procedures, and general prudent lending standards.
- Analyze financial data and communicate findings to the Senior Credit Administrator.
- Conduct site visits to assess new and existing borrowers.
- Prepare and review loan files to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as equal credit, fair credit reporting, and BSA.
- Follow up on loan-related tasks and maintain a high level of regulatory compliance.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and potential clients as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and present a professional image.
- Ability to respond to sensitive inquiries and complaints professionally.
- Accurate typing and basic computer skills, including proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet software, and core banking systems.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to define problems, collect data, and draw conclusions.
- Thorough understanding of lending operations and client needs.
