About the role
The Credit Analyst supports the Profit Center (PC) by identifying key revenue-generating opportunities across loans, deposits, and investment assets. This role is primarily responsible for underwriting new loan requests, managing renewals, and maintaining portfolio compliance—ensuring strong credit performance and client retention.
Responsibilities
- Underwrite and analyze consumer and less complex commercial loan requests in support of Relationship Bankers.
- Manage loan portfolio compliance, including file exceptions, past dues, maturing loans, covenant tracking, and documentation.
- Collapse all stages of credit processing—from client outreach and document collection through application, approval, closing, and onboarding.
- Facilitate renewals, modifications, and annual reviews to maintain relationship quality and prevent asset attrition.
- Identify lending opportunities within existing client relationships and introduce additional bank products to meet client needs.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, ensuring adherence across all credit functions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in lending, credit administration, and/or banking.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional Excel skills.
- Experience using banking and credit software.
- Experience with CRM systems.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks.
- Able to work independently and with a team.
- A self-starter with strong problem-solving skills.
- NMLS registration upon hire.
